Tie on your kilts and bring your taste buds to a
Single Malt Scotch
tasting! You'll taste six of the finest single malt scotches paired with
food duplicating a dinner held at Brodie Castle in
Scotland. In addition,
you'll start the evening with Champagne and enjoy other non-scotch
beverages. The tasting will be in an educational setting led by Timothy
Witherwax of International Beverages and Steve Bergstrom, Famous
BrandsSales & Marketing Manager.
The evening will begin with Veuve
de Vernay, a non-vintage Champagne
listed in the Wine Spectator as a "Best Buy."
Following are foods paired to match the beverages
of the tasting including:
* Smoked Salmon with Two blended scotches and a
Chablis Les Clos 1999 from La Chablisienne
* Cornish Game Hen with Glenrothes 1987 Single Malt and Cardu
12-year Single Malt
* Roast Beef with Glengoyne 10-year Single Malt and a Chateau St. Sulpice
Bordeaux AC 2000
* Assorted cheeses with Ledaig 15-year Single Malt & Churchill's Port
Late Bottled Vintage 1996
* Dessert served with Tobermory 10-year
Single Malt (the only unpeated scotch available in Kansas); and Coffee.
Cost: $50 for members; $55 for non-members.
