“Come enjoy the spirits of Scotland and learn about the
varying and
wonderful differences in the distilling regions of this beautiful
country. Scotch Whiskey is among the oldest spirits in existence and
AIWF is proud to present a sampling of four of the six regions that
produce these whiskeys.
Scotch aficionados Tom Messman, Mike Palmer, Josh Greenwood and
Jeananne Hampel will lead us through this outstanding tasting and
provide insights into the various regions and tastes the
discriminating scotch drinker is sure to experience. While food is not
necessarily “paired” with scotch, Piccadilly’s Executive Chef Randa
Toubia has created an imaginative selection of buffet foods rich in
“umami” — the fifth sense relating to the Japanese word for “flavor or
“taste”; it’s the savory taste of meat, cheese and mushrooms.
